I don&#039;t see IBM buying SAS, they already have Intelligent Miner, Cognos, DB2 etc.  Adding SAS to the mix would really confuse their offering due to the replication in products/capability.

Although that has never stopped companies like Oracle.</description>

		<description>Very good article. The rumors of SAS being purchased have been around for years. Frankly, though, I would see IBM as a better suitor but I will sit back and watch. I think it all depends on how SAS is doing and that is not apparent.</description>
